About Our Illustrator
Pablo Pizzicato works in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. He made this photo illustration for his daughter. Jessica was holding a telephone, not a beer, in her hand. 
In addition to large composite illustrations, Dr. Pizzicato creates illustrations for commercial work and humor. The following unpublished works were made for a client for submission to Comedy Central.
"I often get problems involving light and shading. In the above photo illustration, Senator Obama's hand came from a different source. The skin tones had to match. Nor was he actually in front of the capitol, requiring shading tones to be matched. The client required a mild glow from the flags. In the draft that was finally used, foliage was removed from around the thumb to give the impression of a thumbs-up for correct musical form."
