Our editors are creating a beautiful, memorable new book, which will be available in the fall of 2009!

Working Title: Home Far Away For The Holidays
What we need from you:
Your stories about Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and bringing in the New Year. Did you celebrate other holiday traditions? Were you “far away” or “back home?” Did your circumstances change the way you celebrated the holiday? Were you alone or with friends or family? Did someone help make your holiday happy or bearable? Did you help someone else? Was there a homecoming? A deployment? Good news? Bad news? How did being a service member or a part of a service member’s family make the situation different?
Share your stories with us. Be part of a book that will make readers laugh, cry and think.
2009 is shaping up to be a tough year for Americans. Let’s show our families, friends and neighbors how we “count our blessings” – even the ones that come in disguise.
To contribute your stories or thoughts, email us at holidays@moonsofpluto.com. To send us your story by snail mail, write us at Moons of Pluto Publishing Company, PO Box 1101, Safety Harbor, FL 34695. Let us know how to contact you. Please include in your story your branch of the service, where the story took place, your military or dependent status at the time, etc.
Stories should be no more than 750 words. If you have a funny or touching photograph, tell us about it. We’ll let you know if we would like to see a copy of it.
Many of your stories will appear in our book. We will credit each contributor in the text. All other contributors will be credited on the book’s web page. So, let us know how you would like your name to appear. For example: John Smith, Phoenix, AZ or Jane Jones, Fayetteville, NC.
This beautiful, memorable book will be published in the fall of 2009. So don’t delay. Email or write us today.
We will gratefully thank and acknowledge each contributor, but we are not offering monetary compensation for contributions, only tons of prestigue. If we select your story to appear in the book, we’ll email or snail mail a release form to you. Watch for it.
