Violetta Flipperdoodle Dash is the longest dog in the world. She is a mutt of such mixed pedigree that her human, Harrietta, once argued unsuccessfully that she should be allowed to compete against all breeds in the local kennel club show. Dash is so athletic and clever that she wins every other competition – obstacle course, high jump, dancing, obedience and Frisbee. (Well, in her daydreams, at least.)
A super jumper, she was once disqualified because of her unnaturally long length, but was re-admitted to the competition after leaping up and seizing a radio controlled airplane that was being used by a bully to harass the competitors.
Join Violetta in her adventures. Hear how she rescued a lost caravan, performs world-class diving stunts, wins at dog shows, flies a UFO, confronts her owners new parrot, captures an escaped tiger at the zoo and sings in a doggy choir.

Violetta's human is Harrietta. Here Harrietta's mom, Mrs. Humphries, walks Violetta safely across the street. Everyone should look both ways before crossing the street. Mrs. Humphries has to make sure the street is clear for two blocks in each direction because Violetta is so long.
Garret the Parrot lives in Violetta's house. When Harrietta is around he sings sweet songs and makes nice. But when she leaves the house, he teases Violetta constantly, saying:
"Awk! Bad Dog, Bad Dog!"
"The bark-along CD includes the hit "Garrett the Parrot," a tune that details the plight of poor Violetta, who is constantly berated by the pain-in-the-patoot parrot. The parrot sings like a nightingale when Harrietta is at home, but berates the long dog when they are alone. At the dramatic conclusion of the song, the dog and bird manage to sort things out.
"Like the dog, the book is available in a very long book format sure to please young readers. Our rating is five stars all the way." Gypsy Muse, reviewer for the Clearwater Sun.
